Ex -President Joe Biden’s cabinet meetings were “scripts”, CNN Tapper’s anchoring anchor, and Axios’ political correspondent Alex Thompson reveals in his book “Original Sin”, a scheme of Biden’s cognitive decline and the alleged coverage of his administration.
“The cabinet meetings were terrible and sometimes uncomfortable, and they were from the beginning,” a member of the cabinet said to the authors. “I do not remember a great cabinet meeting in terms of their presence. They were so written.”
The speeches of the White House shortened Biden’s observations and reduced their vocabulary to adapt to the “decreases in Biden’s capabilities”, according to Tapper and Thompson. During their presidency, Biden’s assistants told journalists that it was becoming more and more on television and notebook cards, even for private conversations and cabinet meetings.
Four members of the cabinet who spoke with Tapper and Thompson described Biden’s meetings as scripts excessively. A Cabinet secretary said he hated “the scripts” of the cabinet meetings, while another doubted in 2022 that he could submit to re-election.

“You want people to tell you the truth and have a real dialogue, and these meetings were not this,” said a member of the cabinet in Tapper and Thompson.

However, as Biden’s bad speeches and notebook card confidence became regular practices, a writer told Tapper and Thompson that over time, “only are used.”
The story at the closed doors was inconsistent with the narration of the White House, according to “original sin”.
In January 2024, the White House convened a meeting with Biden, its national security advisers and the Congressional Leadership to urge Congress to continue to provide financial support to Ukraine against the invasion of Russia.

The leader of the minority of the house, Hakeem Jeffries, described Biden as “incredibly strong, forceful and decisive” and the official reading of the White House said that Biden was “clear” about the protection of national security and “emphasized the importance of Congress, saying that Ukraine has the resources it needs.”
However, a House Democrat who attended the meeting said, “This is not true,” Tapper and Thompson wrote. A second Democrat of the House described the meeting as a “disaster” and a “show” s — “.
“During the first twenty minutes of the meeting, the President read the bullet points of a binder. For many at the table, it was difficult to hear. He encountered the words; he started the sentences and then stopped abruptly; he came out,” said Tapper and Thompson.

A Democrat of the Chamber said he was “unable to make a strong and forceful argument” and that he differ from the Minister of National Security Jake Sullivan and the director of National Intelligence Avril Haines to answer the questions, as described in the “original sin”.
Tapper and Thompson described an event on the senior administration officials on the birthday of ROE V. Wade of the Supreme Court. After reading a “weak and slurry” speech of a teleprompter, Biden confused Alabama with Texas and then to his own members of the Cabinet, the Secretary of National Security, Alejandro Mayorkas and the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Xavier Becerra.
“I blame his inner circle and blame him,” an official who found the “crazy” event told the authors a year later.
When the members of the Cabinet observed on practices that accompanied the day -to -day meetings of Biden, Tapper and Thompson, they described how the President’s circle became smaller and smaller in 2023 and 2024.

“Access fell considerably by 2024 and I did not interact with him,” said a cabinet secretary to the authors. “I didn’t get any explanation.”
The Cabinet secretary said they reported superior white house assistants who would later communicate the information to the president himself. They wondered if it was the way to filter the white house information to shape their decisions.
“I think the people around him had their own agenda and they didn’t want more people around them,” another member of the cabinet in Tapper and Thompson said.
Cabinet members who spoke with Tapper and Thompson described a “strange period” when they had no access to Biden for months between 2023 and 2024. They described it as a “deliberate white house strategy to find it with so few people.” When they saw him, they said they were impacted by the “disoriented” and “out of her”, it seemed, murmulating and “it did not make much sense.”
